"Forsaken" Original Oil Painting, 20" by 20" on Gallery Wrap Canvas

"Forsaken" is a moving monochromatic portrait of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, painted in sepia tones. This portrait of Jesus crying with an American flag waving in the background makes a statement against the hatred and division that is on the rise in the United States of America. The use of minimal color in the piece adds to its drama and serves to deepen the emotional response it evokes within the viewer. 

This piece was painted on a gallery wrap stretched canvas measuring 20" square with 1.5" thick edges onto which the painted scene wraps around. The thick, gallery wrap canvas creates a 3D projection from the wall and is designed to be hung unframed.  The painting has been finished to include a dust cover on the reverse side, along with pre-installed hanging hardware. A Certificate of Authenticity (COA), with the story behind the artwork printed on the reverse side, will be included with the painting. The COA will be hand-signed by the artist prior to shipping.
